Spring Shred-it & Electronics Recycling Day

The City of Lawrence invites residents to participate in the Spring Shred-it & Electronics Recycling Day on Saturday, March 15, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lawrence Community Park (5301 N. Franklin Rd.). This event is hosted in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana and the City of Lawrence Police Department. Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping our communities safe by accepting anonymous crime tips. Event Details: 📆 Date: Saturday, March 15, 2025 ⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM 📍 Location: Lawrence Community Park, 5301 N. Franklin Rd. Residents are encouraged to bring sensitive documents for secure shredding and electronics for safe recycling. Proper disposal helps protect against identity theft while supporting community safety efforts. Fees & Donations: $5 requested donation per shredding box $20 fee per TV or computer monitor Accepted Items for Electronics Recycling A wide variety of electronic items will be accepted, including but not limited to: ✅ Computers & Office Equipment Computer towers, laptops, servers, and racks Copiers, printers, scanners Loose hard drives, circuit boards, and components All office automation equipment ✅ Home & Personal Electronics TVs (tube type, LED, LCD, rear projection) – $20 disposal fee per screen VCRs, DVD players, and game systems Cell phones, PDAs, pagers, and handhelds Routers, switches, and telecommunications equipment ✅ Household & Industrial Items Microwaves and handheld appliances Audio-video equipment Industrial electronics, motors, pumps, and light fixtures HVAC components and A/C units All wiring, cables, Cat 5, and industrial wiring (ballasts non-PCB) Medical and lab equipment 🔹 Not sure about an item?
