K9’s Chedo Memorial
Published Sep 14, 2023
Presented to the Family of K-9 Chedo End of Watch September 3rd, 2023 In a nation of laws, patriotism knows no greater champion than that which is found in a K-9. Boldly standing on the thing blue line separating peace from anarchy, a K-9 knows that the battle will never end. The K-9 stands there anyway, a vigilant sentry protecting his Handler one battle at a time. Lawrence Police Department K-9 Chedo courageously stood by his Handler's side for 8 years, representing what is best in society. Going into places that the average person fears to tread, he saw things no one wants to see. By simply waking up and going to work every day, K-9 Chedo made this country a better place to live. Therefore, we present Chedo a flag of the United States of America - a symbol of hope, with a prayer that it will offer him the comfort of a grateful nation.
