Taco Express Celebrates 17 Years in Lawrence
October 18, 2022
This November, stop by Taco Express and congratulate owner Alejandro on 17 years of business in the City of Lawrence! (8626 Pendleton Pike Indianapolis, IN 46226)
"The first nine months were quite difficult. The truth is that hardly anyone came in. It was very hard to see that my business was failing, but I couldn't give up. Over time, people began to arrive, and little by little, my small business of ten tables filled up every day.
Many asked me about the name of the business, and why I chose it. Many told me that Taco Express as a Mexican restaurant name did not sound authentic. The truth is that Taco Express was the previous name and well, we really liked the name, and we left it that way.
It was a small business, but it was growing, so over time we began to focus on taco trucks. Today, we have nine taco trucks in Marion County. The main goal for us has always been to share our culture with food. Our food is authentic and from home. In November, Taco Express will turn 17 years old in Lawrence. Thankfully it’s gone well for us." - Alejandro, owner of Taco Express
