DPW makes 10,369 pot hole repairs this year

DPW Director of Streets Jim Heneghan reported 10,369 pot holes have been repaired by his crews this year while new road improvements are set to begin later this month. Heneghan said, "It really helps our team to get out for repairs when citizens report the pot holes on the website at cityoflawrence." He said, "We really appreciate the citizen reports of repairs needed, when they go online, we're able to get the information faster. With the improved weather, we've been able to make repairs throughout the city." Crews filled holes along 56th Street today, in front of Lawrence Central and Belzer.
