Railroad crossing on 59th Street will be closed January 29

The City of Lawrence received notification this morning (1/28/19) that the railroad crossing on 59th Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 29. This closing is for a repair of a broken rail, according to DPW Director of Streets Jim Heneghan. "We're sorry for this inconvenience, but want to inform residents of the closure for the needed repair," he said.
