Romeril's canine partner, Jase, retires after faithful service to City

LPD Sgt. Ryan Romeril and his K9 partner, Jase, worked their last shift together May 7. Jase has been experiencing health concerns that require him to retire, according to his veterinarian. Jase is six years old and has served Lawrence since 2013. LPD Chief David Hofmann said, "I want to thank and commend Ryan and Jase for an outstanding five years of teamwork, partnership and protection of this City." Hofmann said Jase will transition into retirement as a member of the Romeril family.
