Invitation to Fall Creek Trail Discussion
October 3, 2024
Public Invitation: Join Us for the Fall Creek Trail Discussion!
We’re excited to announce a public review and discussion of the proposed Fall Creek Greenway at our upcoming Parks Board meeting on October 9th. This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about the proposed route, budget, and timeline for construction.
When: October 9th
Where: 9001 East 59th Street
Time: 5:30pm
The Fall Creek Greenway project will extend 1.83 miles from 63rd Street and Lee Road to 71st Street and Fall Creek Parkway, including the Upper Fall Creek Loop Trail. This new paved multi-use path will feature a section of boardwalk and connect to existing trails. To the west, the existing Fall Creek Greenway runs over 14 miles from downtown Indianapolis to Fort Harrison State Park. Additionally, along 63rd Street, the new trail will connect to a Round 3 Next Level Trails project in Lawrence, linking to Forest Glen Elementary School and nearby residential areas.
We must hold at least two public meetings to meet the requirements of the Next Level Trail Grant, and your input is essential! Our partners from the City of Indianapolis, Indy Urban Wilderness, and Resolution Group, Inc. will be there to share insights and answer your questions.
Come be a part of this exciting development for our community! We look forward to seeing you there!
