Dr. Smith presents Rose Parade portrait to Mayor Collier

Dr. Shawn Smith, superintendent of Lawrence Township Schools, presented Mayor Steve Collier with a photograph of the Marching Pride from the January performance in the Rose Parade at Pasedena, CA. Students from Lawrence Central and Lawrence North are members of the Marching Pride under the direction of Randy Greenwell. Students performed community service and conducted several fundraisers in the past year to be able to fly to California over New Year's for the performance in the Rose Bowl Parade. Mayor Collier said he plans to hang the portrait proudly in his office at 9001 E. 59th Street.
