United States Army Flag Raising

Today Mayor Collier and LPD Chief Gary Woodruff celebrated the 247th anniversary of the United States Army by raising the flag at the Lawrence Government Center.  Chaplain Randall Dodge provided the blessing for the ceremony.  Beginning in 1983, Chief Woodruff proudly served 3 years active-duty in the U.S. Army and Military Police & Criminal Investigations Division.  Thank you, to all our U.S. Army veterans, reservists, active-duty, and Blue Star military men and women.  Salute!
