LPD welcomes newest officer

Today the Lawrence Police Department welcomed their newest officer, Andrew Thorup! Officer Thorup had his Oath of Office ceremony this morning, joining LPD. Officer Thorup joins LPD after serving our great country and State for 5 years as a Cavalry Scout in the Indiana National Guard. Most recently, Andrew worked as an analyst at the Simon Operational Intelligence Center, monitoring for potential threats at Simon properties. He is scheduled to start the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy in January. Meanwhile, he will be completing State-mandated training here at LPD. Welcome to LPD, Officer Andrew Thorup!
