Freedom Academy begins its ministry at 4330 N. Post Road

Mrs. Gina Harding, LPD Chief David Hofmann, Mayor Steve Collier and Pastor Howard Harding visited the new site of Freedom Ministry, the spiritual arm of the Freedom Academy. A day care and community center are planned for the site. Ms. Pam Leeper, CFO for Freedom Academy said it plans to open a community center at 4330 N. Post Rd. "Since the area is a child care desert, the first program we plan to open is a child care with hours Monday - Friday from 6 am to 6 pm," Leeper said. Freedom Academy will also consider school programs, life skills classes (e.g. personal finance, healthy cooking, grocery shopping, couponing, parenting), job readiness, resume writing, and sports programs to offer to its community, she said. Freedom Academy is located in the former Lawrence Baptist Church, just north of 42nd & Post Road where investment and renovation from other businesses is taking place.
