New Roof for the Visual Arts Center

Big shoutout to both the City of Lawrence DPW and Parks Department for funding a brand-new roof for the Visual Arts Center at the Fort Ben Cultural Campus!

Originally the Fort Harrison communications building, this historic structure was relocated to the Cultural Campus, where it now thrives as a hub for creativity. Inside, you'll find a vibrant first-floor gallery, a lower-level ceramics studio, a second-floor art classroom, and a dedicated resident artist studio— all managed by Arts for Lawrence.

Thanks to this investment, the Visual Arts Center will continue to inspire artists and the community for years to come!
