Firefighter Training for New Lateral Transfers

Mayor Deb Whitfield and Fire Chief Bob Wallace recently visited the Lawrence Fire Department’s training grounds to observe our newest lateral transfer firefighters in action. During their visit, they watched as the recruits honed their skills in Vent, Enter, Search (VES)—a critical technique used in search-and-rescue operations.

The City of Lawrence is proud to welcome these experienced firefighters to our community and appreciates their dedication to protecting and serving our residents.
