Volunteer With The Sharing Place Food Pantry
February 18, 2025

The Sharing Place Food Pantry has been helping families facing food insecurity for over 40 years. What started as a small initiative by the Ladies Auxiliary in the 1970s has grown into a program that now serves over 50,000 people annually—all thanks to the dedication of volunteers.
The need is greater than ever. From 2023 to 2024, The Sharing Place has seen a 37% increase in clients.
Last year, The Sharing Place rescued over 595,000 lbs of food from grocery stores, preventing it from ending up in landfills—but they need more volunteers to keep up with demand!
Even a few hours of your time can make a huge impact.
Sign up to volunteer today: https://lutheranfamily.galaxydigital.com
Ways to help:
- Pick up donated food
- Assist families during pantry hours
- Sort and restock shelves
- Help with home deliveries
The Sharing Place is located at 6501 Sunnyside Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236 (Door 5) and is run by the Foundation for Lutheran Child and Family Services.
