Community Safety Day Recap

What a fantastic day at the annual Community Safety Day! A big THANK YOU to everyone who joined us. Your participation made the event a huge success!

We had an amazing time showcasing the latest in public safety with demonstrations from the IU Health Mobile Stroke Unit, PHI Air Medical Helicopter, and a thrilling Taser demo. The LPD vs LFD “Suit Up” Challenge was a highlight, showing just how quickly our first responders gear up to keep us safe. 

Special thanks to the DJ, food trucks, and the 50+ organizations and agencies that made the day even more special. From bike safety tips to exciting rescue demos, it was a day filled with learning, fun, and community spirit.
