$1.5 Million Civic Plaza Renovation Underway

Through a partnership with the Fort Harrison Reuse Authority, the City has begun a $1.5 million renovation to Lawrence Civic Plaza. 

Improvements include a wind tree which will power all the outlets on the plaza, public seating, decorative concrete, bike racks, entryway arches, a walkway pergola, and more.

Civic Plaza will reopen by the end of 2022 in time for Winterfest!

Civic Plaza is located in the heart of Fort Ben at Otis Ave and Wheeler Rd. It's a place for Lawrence to host events and for residents to relax and enjoy being outside.
