Did you know that Lanesville was the original name for Lawrence?
Named after a prominent resident, it became a thriving trading center along the Bee Line Railroad and Pendleton Pike before being renamed Lawrence in 1866.
The area has grown over time, adapting to its modern surroundings with the development of nearby I-465 and US 36. Despite its industrial shift, Lanesville retains a strong sense of community!
