IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM DPW

           IMPORTANT NOTICE

The safety and well-being of customers, residents, and staff is the number one priority for the City of Lawrence and the Department of Public Works. As such, we have been closely monitoring developments as they relate to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). In light of new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Indiana State Department of Health, DPW will be taking the following measures:

·      Permit Applications

Beginning Tuesday, March 17th, DPW permit window will be closed, but operations will still continue. DPW will not be accepting any permit applications or plan review requests in person. All permit applications MUST be submitted via email at permits@CityofLawrence.org.

Payments will be required to be paid via phone using credit/debit cards. Approved and fully paid permits will be emailed to the applicant. Please call 317-545-8787 to direct you to the appropriate personnel, to make the payment.

·      Plan Reviews

For Plan reviews, please drop of your hardcopy plans in the box, located by the main entrance. Please emailpermits@CityofLawrence.org after you drop off to make sure DPW staff is notified of that. Comments will be send back via emails. So please make sure to include an email address.

PLEASE DO NOT DROP ANY CHECKS OR PAYMENTS IN THE BOX.
