LFD completes EVOC: Emergency Vehicle Operator Course

If you drove by Veteran’s Park yesterday, you might have noticed our firefighters and civilian EMS completing a driving course called EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operator Course.) They must complete the course once a year to be able to drive an emergency vehicle for the City of Lawrence Fire Department. This course is not for speed. It’s designed for clearance and to be aware of your surroundings.
