LPD Staff, Sergeant Jim Vaughan, Raises the Flag in Honor of the 245th U.S. Army Anniversary

LPD Staff, Sergeant Jim Vaughan, raised the flag today in honor of the 245^th U.S. Army anniversary.

City of Lawrence’s own Sgt. Vaughan began his U.S. Army military career of twenty years while in Europe assigned to Alpha Company Troop Command MP Platoon, Fort Harrison, from 1992-1997.  Jim was the last active duty solider left at Ft. Harrison that was not assigned to Building 1.  Later, Sgt. Vaughan joined the National Guard, then deployed to Iraq with the 384^th MP Company out of Bloomington, Indiana.
