LPD's final beam reaches its destination atop 5150 N. Post Road

LPD Chief David Hofmann joined the crane operator and steelworkers at 5150 N. Post Road to watch the final beam elevated and secured in its place at the new police headquarters. Officials anticipate an early Fall opening for the police station. Hofmann said the final beam has been on display and available for community to sign the beam the last two weeks at the Government Center. "This is a milestone in the project and signals the onset of the next construction phase," the chief said. A mobile roll call for the LPD middle shift officers joined the occasion.
