Greg Goodnight

Greg Goodnight was appointed as the Chief of Staff for the City of Lawrence by Mayor Deb Whitfield in November 2024. With over two decades of experience in local government, Greg brings a wealth of leadership expertise to his new role.

From 2008 to 2019, Greg served as the Mayor of Kokomo, where he led the city through a period of significant growth and development. Prior to his tenure as mayor, he was a member of the Kokomo Common Council from 2001 to 2007. Following his time in office, Greg worked as a consultant and advisor to local governments across Indiana, helping communities improve their operations and governance.

Greg also served as the president of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns (IACT) from 2016 to 2017, representing and advocating for municipal leaders across the state.

As Chief of Staff for the City of Lawrence, Greg is excited to support Mayor Whitfield’s vision and contribute to the city’s continued growth and progress.
