Geospatial Information Services

• Maintain key data sets and maps to support Police, Fire, Department of Public Works, the Utility and various other departments

• Operate as a internal service program to the City of Lawrence, providing these "clients" with data as well as standard and customized maps and reports.

• Consult with clients to assist them in developing their requests for GIS information

• Act as a liaison between the City and data partners that are external to the City in order to promote the City's interests in their data.

• Engage in research and development to take advantage of improvements in GIS and data technology.
