Snow Removal Information and Procedures

Over the next few months, we will have snowstorms from time to time, which will inconvenience everyone and may be hazardous.  The City of Lawrence will work hard to keep the roads clear and drivable.  To view information regarding the City’s snow removal policies and procedures, please click here.  If you should have further questions, please feel free to call the Street Department at 823-8959 or the Department of Public Works at 545-5566.

Blue Star Banner Initiative

The City of Lawrence would like to honor residents who are currently serving by placing banners on the light fixtures along the streets. If you know of a resident that should be honored, please call Candy Davis at 545-6191.

Lawrence City Government Center New Home to Lawrence Police and Fire Departments 

Mayor Paul Ricketts is pleased to announce the residents of the City of Lawrence now have the added convenience of having both the Lawrence Police and Fire Department offices within the Lawrence Government Center, 9001 E. 59th Street.

Census 2010 – You Count!

Census 2010Over the next few months, you will be hearing more about the Census through the media, newsletters, and our Web site. Your participation in the 2010 Census is vital because it determines the amount of federal funds our city will receive. These funds are important because they are used to support everything from road construction to the hiring of additional police and firefighters. Please make sure that in the 2010 Census... you count!!!
