New Civic Plaza Christmas Tree Planted

But how does one move a 22-foot tall Christmas tree to its new home?

Using a giant tree spade—an attachment designed specifically for tree transplanting—workers carefully dug into the soil around the tree, encasing its root ball and lifting the entire tree out of the ground. This method allowed the tree to be moved from the tree farm and replanted at Lawrence Civic Plaza with minimal stress.

This beautiful tree will be the centerpiece for our Tree Lighting Ceremony during A Lawrence Christmas on November 30th!
