“We Salute You” Blue Star Banner Families

Mayor Collier presented the “We Salute You” packets to two Blue Star Banner families!  

Specialist Jalen C. Lloyd.  Jalen graduated from Lawrence Central High School in 2017 and joined the Army in February of 2020.  He comes from a long line of family military service including his father, a U.S. Army Reserve, as well has his grandfather and uncles who are all retired U.S. Army.  Specialist Lloyd is an M1 Abrams Tank crewmember.   

Private First Class Billy S. Wilkinson, U.S. Marine Corps. Billy attended the Spanish Immersion Magnet School and graduated from Lawrence North High School in 2021.  PFC Wilkinson’s grandfather, who was also a Marine, completed three tours in Vietnam.   In February 2023, Billy entered the U.S. Marine Corps and will graduate from the School of Infantry training soon.  He is excited to see where his next steps as a Marine will take him!
