Cancellation of Grocery Packing Event

Every year, we look forward to volunteers and City employees gathering to unload and distribute food donations into boxes to help families in need in Lawrence. This is part of the Firefighters’ Family Assistance Fund. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unable to get food donations in bulk this year. Because of that and COVID-19 safety concerns, we made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s grocery packing event.
New toys will still be given out to families in need on December 19th.
